There’s always a feeling of hope whenever I see the Chromebook take some attention back. Google’s affordable notebooks seem to drift in and out of the tech spotlight and lately, there hasn’t been much to talk about. There is the Chromebook Pixel, but that’s another story altogether.
The Chromebook Flip by Asus is a 2-in-1 device running Chrome OS. It moves in a similar fashion to Lenovo’s Yoga device, allowing a full transformation from laptop to tablet(-ish). While I’m definitely past the point of being “over” these devices from the Windows 8 boom, I’m happy to see one rise in the shape of a Chromebook. With great battery life and a decent array of ports, I would recommend taking a look the Flip if you’re in the market for a sub-$300 Chromebook.
